Hey there, I'm Caro a Dutch illustrator based in Hilversum. I'm a mom of two, a hot black coffee loving sweettooth, who loves to create and is open for opportunities.

After graduating from multiple design studies I worked as a graphic designer. At some point I felt stuck, hitting a deep low and I decided to go freelance. I rediscovered myself and worked happily as a freelance graphic designer for years. When I became a mom I got an idea for a Christmas card proudly showing our (then) family of three. It was my first family portrait and I got asked to make them commission based, which I really love doing. Having less time as a mother of two, I decided to take on less graphic design jobs and fully go for being an illustrator and started Macama.
 
I have tons of ideas and dreams were I’m working on, it al started with the family portraits, murals and posters are in the making, maybe some editorial illustrations or prints for children clothing and why not, I would love to illustrate a book about fertility.
